2021... the year gone by

And just like that year 2022 has dawned upon us. As we embark upon another year with hope and spirit and reminisce on the year gone by, we can only be grateful for the wonderful year that 2021 turned our to be for the Pagrav family.

Whilst the whole world was still reeling under and recovering from Covid 19, we were fortunate to resume our classes in our studios with safety procedures in place of course. We are proud to add many laurels to our cap in 2021 with some significant successes being Kattam Katti- a story of ambition and conflict against the backdrop of Uttarayan Kite festival; Utsav 2021- the online show featuring the talent of Pagrav students; Krishna – a collaboration between Pagrav and Ragatip music, Udaan to name a few. Like everything else we do, we ended the year in style with a Christmas party at our Queensbury studio. The pictures below don’t do justice to the fun we had but they are a memory of the good time everybody had.

None of these would have been possible without the vision and commitment of our artistic director Urja and her team of amazing teachers Parbati, Meera and Mira, the wonderful musicians and everybody else who has helped behind the scenes. A big thank you to all of them for taking Pagrav to where we are now.

A new year marks an era of new beginning and we hope 2022 brings in new promises and opportunities for all. Similar to previous years, we hope to play our part in promoting contemporary Kathak by bringing in new shows and classes and hope to continue receiving the blessings and support from all our patrons. So here is wishing all of you a very happy and successful 2022.
