The infusion of modernity to Kathak is at the heart of the Pagrav Dance Company. We have imbued this to our website too through a makeover and are excited to show this off. We hope the new look is more interactive and assists you better in your journey with Kathak and Pagrav Dance Company.
A website refresh reinforces our identity and our ethos. Pagrav Dance Company remains committed to its objective of promoting Kathak on various platforms and invigorating this art form with modern context and renewed presentation. Alongside the fresh new look we have also added new features such as direct Studio Bookings, Blogs and Production packs. We hope you enjoy the new look!
The team is led by its founder and artistic director, Urja Desai Thakore, an accomplished Kathak dancer and choreographer amongst many other things but the most important of all, an emphatic champion of empowering the younger generation. A living example of her ethos is an equally dedicated and trained team of PDC’s advance students who have benefitted under Urja’s tutelage and continue to contribute actively in Pagrav’s journey. For the uninitiated, Urja tried her hands at traditional career options (a degree in Civil Engineering followed by a career in interior designing) before finding her calling in Kathak and the rest is history as they say…
